Bruins Streak Comes to an End

Unless you are an absolute loser who hates sports you know that the Bruins have been hotter than a Puerto Rican picnic and heading into the All Star break this past weekend had a stretch of 18 games in a row with at least a point. Sadly, last night the streak came to an end last night at the hands of the Bombay-less Ducks; 3-1. The Bruins were without 1/3 of the leagues best line since Marchand is serving his suspension.

Little Ball of Hate

Marchy is so fun to watch as a Bruins fan and so aggravating at the same time because he can’t keep his hand out of the cookie jar and always getting in trouble. Thursday night he did it again at the expense of Devils Forward Johansson, who got hit with a flying Marchand elbow late in the 3rd period. Marchy has been putting on an absolute clinic this season already tallying 50 points  (21 genos/29 apples). Yet he can’t stay out of the spotlight for the wrong reasons. It’s getting to the point where the Bruins have a solidified playoff spot coming up on the last game of the season, they should sit him so he doesn’t do anything too stupid and get a 10 game suspension.

Rest of the Best

Bergeron and Pastrnak make up the rest of the best line in hockey for those of you wondering. Bergy, who is in the running for the Selke award EVERY YEAR, is having another fantastic season (20G 22A) and is truly solidifying his spot as an all time Bruin great. HE’S ONLY 31! Pastrnak is the final member of the best line and man oh man the kid is LEGIT. At just 21 years old, Pasta has amassed 20G & 29A this year. If these two can stay healthy and the rat stays out of trouble, this line can be historic. The best is yet to come this year too!
