I feel like I have written this exact same blog before. And well, it’s because I have. You probably remember last season when Andrew Bogut was bought out in the middle of the season and we all thought he was going to sign with the Celtics. He didn’t as he ended up signing with the Cavs, but he unfortunately broke his leg in his first minute of action with the Cavs and never saw the court again last season.
Cleared To Play
Now, Bogut has been medically cleared to play and according to the Boston Globe, he may be interested with signing with he Boston Celtics in addition to four other teams. The Celtics have one roster sport remaining and I think it would be wise of them to use it to sign Bogut. The Celtics certainly got better this season, but they did very little to address their rebounding issues. I don’t know about you, but I don’t think Aaron Baynes is the answer for this team at Center and for rebounding. Before they signed him I had never heard of him. Once he signed everyone was like “Oh yeah! This guy will help a lot!”. I don’t buy it ladies and gentleman. Give me Bogut.
Bogut has averaged 10 points and 8.9 rebounds throughout his career and he certainly would address the rebounding issue. It wouldn’t be the most exciting signing in the world, but a Bogut signing would be very beneficial for the bad rebounding Celtics.
